Located on two sides of Tucson, the Tucson Mountain District or Saguaro National Park West and the Rincon Mountain District or Saguaro National Park East, the Sonoran Desert is home to the most recognizable cactus in the world, the majestic saguaro. Visitors of all ages are fascinated by these desert giants, especially their many interesting and complex interrelationships with other desert life.

Saguaro National Park is both enchanting and mysterious. The lush desert floor is highlighted by stately Saguaro cactus and scores of smaller trees and shrubs.
