Home ownership is one of the biggest passages in life. I think everyone feels elated when they buy their first new homes in Tucson. The only thing more life changing for me is having my children.

So I am here to talk about buying a home in Tucson, or southern Arizona. Residential real estate can be broken into two areas: (1) used Tucson homes (resale homes) or (2) new Tucson homes (new construction). I will deal with resale homes at a later time.

Right now I want to talk about new home construction in Tucson. When a buyer comes to us to buy a Tucson home we like to educate them about all the possibilities and help them decide what they are looking for. One of the first things we like to determine is whether they want a new home in Tucson or a used home in Tucson. I like to show a few of each so they can make an educated decision. Some people know that they only want a new home in Tucson so there is no discussion.

There are two types of new homes, (1) custom Tucson homes where the buyer gets to design everything about the Tucson house, and (2) production built Tucson homes where the builder has a development of many lots, and the buyer has several plans to choose from. They also have the choice of many different options to choose from, so they can sort of customize their Tucson home.
